I Got Paid NIL Money By BYU 40 Years Ago
I’m all for college athletes being employees of a university. I was employed part-time by BYU as a non-athlete student. My job was to maintain the cleanliness of bathrooms in the Knight Building on campus.
NIL in those days stood making sure the bathrooms were Neat, unInfected and Loaded with toilet paper.
Just my opinion, but we are headed towards athletes as university employees sooner than later.
Below are two videos that sustain my position.
I didn’t have a buyout clause in my employment agreement as the “head man” at the Knight Building, but you can bet the soon to be coming athlete contracts will have them to keep the transfer portal from proliferation and profiteering by athletes.
It’s been weeks since anybody has heard or seen new BYU Basketball coach Kevin Young. But just like the clip above, we don’t have to be seeing him and or hearing him in interviews to understand what he is doing.
It doesn’t matter that we haven’t seen him or heard from him. It is obvious that he is involved in getting his message across to his current team and future recruits. Incorrect spelling and or being incognito, doesn’t mean he isn’t getting his message across when it comes to the roster and recruiting.
His spell checking moment will be when the Big 12 season opens in December and his message will either be received with praise or praze.
